Our Story

It all started in 2012, when aeronautical enthusiasts Peter Georén and Anton Westman encountered an old test facility called LT1. What began as a dream to rebuild Sweden's first vertical wind tunnel soon evolved into something far more radical: "What if we could fly forward instead of just falling?" That question sparked a breakthrough. In 2016, after months of experimentation, Georén became the first human ever to fly a wingsuit in an inclined wind tunnel, followed shortly by Westman, who made history as the first to fly freely without a safety system.

Our World-Class Facility & Technology

Every Inclined wind tunnel is a masterpiece of aerodynamics, where precision airflow, adjustable angles, and real-time analytics recreate the true sensation of flight. Our technology is built on years of research, testing, and operational expertise from Stockholm, the world's first and most advanced inclined tunnel.

What Defines Our System

  • Authentic Flight Dynamics: Precision airflow calibrated to mimic true wingsuit aerodynamics.
  • Adaptive Angle System: Adjustable tunnel inclination for varied training needs, from beginners to elite athletes.
  • Real-Time Analytics: Multi-angle video capture and performance data to accelerate learning and refinement.
  • Safety First Design: Advanced harness systems, rapid-response controls, and emergency protocols integrated throughout.
  • Sustainable Engineering: Energy-efficient airflow systems and optimized acoustic design for minimal noise and maximum efficiency.

Licensing: We Offer the Next Generation of Wingsuit Tunnel

Indoor Wingsuit Flying is a concept developed by Inclined Labs. Flying is possible due to the patented inclined wind tunnel. Flight characteristics are adjustable not only by changing wind strength/speed, but also by the patented variable tilt angle of the inclined wind tunnel. Flying is safe thanks to the the patented safety system developed by Inclined Labs.

Inclined Labs plan to open Indoor Wingsuit Flying centers in many places, all over the world. Inclined Labs is however also open for licensing. This means that other companies have the opportunity to open their own Indoor Wingsuit Flying centers, using Inclined Labs concept and technique.

Companies interested in building their own inclined wind tunnels for Indoor Wingsuit Flying or other applications are welcome to visit Inclined Labs webpage to read more or contact Inclined Labs regarding licensing at license@inclined.se
